Come, O Spirit, with Your sound. John A. Dalles* (1954- ).
This was Dalles’s first hymn text, written in 1983 at Wabash valley, Northern Indiana, when Dalles was a member of a Worship Task Force of the Presbytery during his ministry at South Bend. It has three verses: ‘Come, O Spirit, with Your sound’, ‘Come, O Spirit, with Your flame’, and ‘Come, O Spirit, fill Your church’. It is based on Acts 2: 2-4.
