Charles Wesley Society
The Charles Wesley Society was formed in Princeton, New Jersey in 1990, as its charter states, ‘for the purposes of study, preservation, interpretation, and dissemination of Charles Wesley*’s poetry and prose.’ Since then, its meetings and publications have sought to accomplish these goals. The connection between meetings and publication is best seen in the Society’s Proceedings, which publishes some of the papers coming from the previous year’s meeting. In addition, facsimile reprints of some of the most important historical collections of Wesley’s verse have done much to keep easily accessible some of Wesley’s texts not found in recent hymnals.
