Charles Henry Pace, Sr.
Pace, Charles Henry, Sr. b. Atlanta, Georgia, 4 August 1886; d. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 16 December 1963.
Charles H. Pace was a choral conductor, gospel song writer, and publisher. Pace was one of seven children from the union of Charles Pace (1863–1933) and Frances Pace (née Daggett) of Atlanta. He married Frankie Wilhamina Pace (née Scott) (1905–1989) in 1935. They had two children, Frances and Frank Jr. The Pace archives, held at the University of Pittsburgh, were obtained from Pace’s daughter, Frances Pace Barnes, who found 14 crates of materials in storage after several decades.
