Association of Lutheran Church Musicians (ALCM) The Association of Lutheran Church Musicians nurtures and equips musicians to serve and lead the church's song. Music is a vital expression of Lutheran worship. By sharing the knowledge, experience, and passion that honor our heritage and inspire our future, ALCM nurtures and equips those who lead music in worship. Approximately 140 church musicians from across the United States and Canada responded to an invitation to meet at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina, October 14–16, 1985.
