A Southern African Multilingual Hymn Collection

A Southern African Multilingual Hymn Collection (2018). This hymn collection, compiled and edited by Andrew-John Bethke* and published by the Anglican Church of Southern Africa (ACSA) in 2018, represents one of the first sustained attempts to develop a locally grounded, multilingual Anglican hymn collection in the South African* region. The collection includes both traditional and newly composed hymns and liturgical songs, many written or adapted specifically for the post-apartheid, multilingual, and socially complex context of Southern Africa.  Its languages are English, Afrikaans, isiZulu, isiXhosa, Sesotho, Setswana, Shona, Portuguese. A full staff notation music edition is available...
