Howard Hughes
Hughes, Howard. b. Baltimore, Maryland, 28 June 1930. Composer, teacher and pastoral musician, Hughes graduated from the University of Dayton in Ohio in 1951, and the next year made his perpetual profession as a Marianist Brother, of the Society of Mary (The Marianists), a Roman Catholic religious community. Then followed eighteen years of summer study at The University of Fribourg, Switzerland; the Alliance Française, Paris, France; Case-Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio; Institute Catholique de Paris, France; and New York University, NYC.
